Castor Oil FSG Low Water Content, also known as Ricinus oil, is a vegetable oil that is extracted from the Castor seed by mechanical pressing. It has a slight characteristic odor, is pale-yellowish or almost colorless, and has a low acid value of 0.7 mg KOH/g max. There are numerous applications in various industrial segments, because of its unique molecule structure, such as polyurethane in PU floor coatings, PU adhesives/sealants and PU foams.

Applications
Industrial Applications: Employed as a lubricant in high-performance engines and other mechanical and industrial capacities.
Benefits
Purity: It is often more refined than other grades of castor oil
removing impurities and color to achieve a clear to pale yellow appearance. Viscosity: Castor oil is known for its high viscosity and thick
sticky consistency
which remains consistent in FSG quality. Hydroxyl Value: FSG castor oil has a high hydroxyl value
which is a measure of its ability to participate in chemical reactions where hydroxyl groups are involved. Ricinoleic Acid Content: Like all castor oils
the FSG grade is rich in ricinoleic acid
a fatty acid that gives castor oil much of its beneficial properties
such as its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects.
